I decided I`d finish up my posts about Golden Week with some of my favorite shots from our trip.
This is Noa`s favorite spot in her grandparents` house. It also happens to be mine because it can be so peaceful to sit at their table and just look out over the garden of gorgeous flowers.
Ice cream time is happy time!
Can you see how tickled she is here? I forgot what was going on, but I love when she gets tickled like this.
We visited a really beautiful beach and Noa was so excited to get in the water.
Of course we didn`t have a swimsuit or a change of clothes with us, so I stripped her down to her undershirt and let her go.
I love shots of them together, getting along.
Look at her face! She was surprised at how big one of the waves was and this face was priceless!
Pure joy!
Little footprint in the sand
Koichi`s parents visit a temple to pray and also get fresh spring water and within the property there`s a little swing set and slide and we all know who can`t resist that combination! Her grandmother was pretty cute when she sat down on the swing and it moved a little. I told her to be careful because her knee is still recovering from surgery at the end of March.
Wheeeeeee!
Look at that little ham! And how gorgeous is that wisteria?!
Waiting for out boat for the dolphin watching tour.
She did not like the life jacket at all and when some dolphins swam close to the boat she got mad because Koichi wouldn`t let her get in the water to touch them. I was on the opposite side chatting with one of the guides and suddenly heard crying and immediately knew it was her. It didn`t help that she was a little tired.
It`s pretty cool to see dolphins swimming in the sea!
In Koichi`s parents` backyard, so many beautiful flowers.
Before we left I got my camera out to get a couple of shots of Noa with her grandparents. I love this shot of them looking at each other.
Her ji-chan was reluctant, but I insisted and was glad he agreed.
And that pretty much covers our Golden Week 2017 trip to Amakusa. We won`t get to visit them again until the New Year holiday because Noa and I will be in Texas in August, which is the next long holiday for Koichi. We are hoping that once his mom`s knee heals that we can convince them to come and visit us here in Kyoto.
Oh wow, it`s 1:00 am and I can hear my bed calling my name. I`ve pretty much got the apartment looking presentable for Meghan tomorrow. She`ll be in Kyoto just after lunch time and I can`t wait to see her!
